About Us

Saskatoon jazz/pop trio, The Lost Keys, have developed an eclectic selection of songs over the years. They put their own spin on old favourites with a little bit of jazz, swing, blues, pop folk, roots and country thrown in. Inspired by the likes of Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Norah Jones, Madeleine Peyroux and Gillian Welch, they blend guitars, bass, smooth vocals and tasty harmonies for an engaging listening experience.

Wendy Thomson

Wendy Thomson loves singing! Family trips in the station wagon, were always occasions for a sing along complete with sibling harmonies. In high school, Wendy belonged to the Glee Club, the Long Lake Central Choir and the Saskatchewan Youth Chorus. Unlike the rest of her family, she didn't join the band, and didn't pick up a guitar until the mid 80's while teaching Gr. 1. Looking for more of a challenge in the 90's, she began taking guitar lessons after meeting Lorne Deighton. With the encouragement of friends and family she began playing music with friends in public. Inspired by female artists such as her sister, Patti Layne, Norah Jones, Melody Gardot, Madeleine Peyroux and Molly Johnson, Wendy has begun penning her own songs.

Mike Sheridan

Mike Sheridan provides support on both vocals and guitar.  Mike and Wendy formed The Lost Keys as a duo some five years ago, and were joined soon after by Lorne Deighton on bass until Dec 2016.  Mike plays in a number of styles and enjoys the wide variety of music embraced by The Lost Keys Trio.

Lloyd Tomczak started playing with the group in March 2017. He is a seasoned bass player and has played with many different groups in and around the Saskatoon area. His cool and jazzy bass solos are a welcome addition!
